Two more days until the World Championship begins! As far as I can see, the games are only on ESPN in the US if the American team is playing. The best US viewing will be online at espn3.com. The only other option is to go to fiba.com and pay 30 Euros for the complete championship package. For all scores and news go to the FIBA website. There are 24 teams and 6 teams in each group. We have to be in the top four to move on to the second round. The team has started a little blog about each day in Turkey, although it's in German, you can still check out the pictures here. In Germany, all games will be on the tv channel Sport1. Here is the schedule (subtract 6 hours for the US time):
Saturday, 28. August, 8:15 PM: Germany – Argentinia
Sunday, 29. August, 5:45 PM: Germany - Serbia
Monday, 30. August, 5:45 PM: Germany - Australia
Wednesday, 1. September, 5:45 PM: Germany - Angola
Thursday, 2. September, 8:15 PM: Germany - Jordan
So get out your red, gold, and black and cheer on Germany and our # 8!
