Our 9th Christmas Together

After an awesome win at home against Berlin on the 23rd, the guys got a 2.5 day break for Christmas. We headed up to Chris' parents for two nights to spend the holiday with his family. On Christmas Eve we went to church, had a nice dinner with his parents and exchanged gifts. On Christmas Day, his aunt and uncle, cousins, sister, brother-in-law and our nephew all came to lunch and stayed through the evening for Brotzeit. His brother, Johnny, spent Christmas in Serbia with his girlfriend, so we weren't able to see him. We had a wonderful, relaxing two days in Brunst. It's only the second Christmas in the last ten years that we were with his parents here in Germany. Although it's sad for me not to be with my family in the U.S. for the holidays, I am very thankful for a wonderful family to spend it with here. Dixon also had fun in the country and got spoiled with lots of snacks, a new deer antler to chew on and a frisbee. He spent his Christmas day watching over the Turkey! We hope you all had a nice Christmas and enjoyed this special time with your family. Thank you for your cards, gifts and messages. I was so far behind this year that I didn't even get to send out our cards. We were thinking of you though!
