Mistle...laneous

Christmas Mistletoe With Red Bow
It's another super busy week, but I will stop for five minutes and give you an update!

Last week, the team lost their last Eurocup game at home against Banvit Bandirma from Turkey. Unfortunately, we had to win it to be able to make it to the next round, so we are now out of that league for the season. Then, the team lost again at home in an overtime game against Braunschweig that was definitely winnable. Chris has slowly been playing more and more, but still isn't into his normal rhythm yet. He's coming though! Luckily, the team broke out of their little rut and had a great win on the road in Bonn yesterday. They played so much better and their new played helped a lot. Chris played a little bit more, but unfortunately got 5 fouls in 10 minutes. It was a very physical game, especially for our big guys who tallied up 17 fouls together - with 3 of them fouling out. The last game before Christmas is a big one at home against one of the top teams, Berlin, this Sunday.

On Friday, I went on a mystery trip with my entire office. Instead of a big holiday party, they do a mystery trip each year. We got a few short emails telling us what to prepare and off we went for the day. I really had absolutely no idea where or what we would be doing. For the first half of the day we went to the Frankfurt Airport. We got a behind the scenes bus tour of the whole airport, which was really interesting. Then after a lecture on the IT systems in use at the airport, we headed off for our next destination. We drove to a castle where several events were planned for us, including Medieval competitions such as ax throwing and bow shooting. Then we had a Medieval dinner which we could only eat with our hands and a knife. It was a fun day and great for all of us to get to know each other a little more, especially me since I am so new!

Tonight we drove to the commissary to stock up on our favorite American foods and then went to Chris' parents for dinner. We will be back soon to spend a few days there for Christmas.

If you have a moment, check out the recipe on my friend Ivana's blog, Surburbia, today. She asked me to start giving her some recipes and my pictures of making them so she can feature them once in a while. So check out my first little feature on her awesome website!

That's it for now! Enjoy your week and your final holiday preparations!
