Wendel and Maryjoy arrived Thursday morning and everything went well with their trip. We spent the evening shopping and touring downtown Palencia. On Friday, we drove to Penafiel, a castle and wine region about 45 minutes away from our house. It was my first real driving experience without Chris, and it was quite interesting. We had several scary situations, including stalling on the way up the steep hill to the castle and being stuck not knowing how to get going again. Mary Joy and Wendel may be permanently scarred, but it was still a fun trip!
After the trip on Friday, we went to Chris' game that night against Coruna. We were pretty much ahead the entire game, by more than 20 points at one point. Somehow, they started playing pretty bad and almost lost it in the end! Luckily they turned back around and won 71-58. Chris had a really good game with 11 points and 9 rebounds. After the game, we all went to dinner with Kim and his friend and then out for a little while. It was a fun night, but we had to get some rest for our weekend trip to San Sebastian.
