Dixon and I arrived safely in Würzburg. After a day of suffering from jetlag, we are doing well. Yesterday I unpacked almost everything and organized the apartment. It still needs some work to cover the older looking floors and we are waiting for our new kitchen, but all in all it's coming together well.
After unpacking for a while, I met up with a friend here and we discovered a really nice park across the street. We hadn't seen each other since our guys played together in Gottingen, so we walked about three miles and caught up on our last three years! The park was really big and had great views over a valley full of vineyards. After our walk, we decided to head downtown to the big Wurzburg Weinfest that is going on this week. We took the tram from right outside of our apartment to downtown. We had some wine and got to see a little bit of the city. It was a nice girls day while the team was gone for their scrimmage.
Today the team had a free day, so Chris' parents came down to visit us. We went into the city and sat at a nice cafe. It was the first day we really got to explore the city and it really is beautiful. There are so many great cafes, restaurants, shops and pretty old buildings. It is the best place we have lived since Barcelona.
