Last weekend we used what could be our last free weekend for a long time to have some fun and enjoy the great weather (upper 70s) we had. We wanted to take an overnight trip, but realized we wouldn't find a good hotel on a holiday weekend. So we decided to stay in Bremerhaven and explore the surrounding area. On Saturday we headed up to Wilhelmshaven to see their annual sailboat race. We sat in the harbor and watched the parade of huge ships coming in after the race. Then on Sunday we took Dixon for a bike ride and went to a barbeque. This weekend are our first two games of the season, so keep your fingers crossed for the Eisbaren!
