Angela and I's trip to Milan was lots of fun. We enjoyed strolling through the city, shopping, and taking in the Italian culture. We resisted the urge to spend lots of money on new bags and shoes and instead spent our money on delicious pizza and gelato. We visited the famous Milan Duomo and the Monumental Cemetary. Although it doesn't sound like a good place to visit, the cemetary was actually very interesting and beautiful. It is full of sculptures and tombs dating all the way back to 1866.
In March, Wendel and Mary Joy came to visit for a week. We had a great time with them and kept busy taking lots of trips. We went to Dangast beach, Bremen, Bremerhaven Klimahaus, Amsterdam, and flew to Vienna for three days. Our trip to Vienna was wonderful. I have to say it is now on the top of my list of favorite cities I've visited. It is full of beautiful buildings, green parks, and has so much to do and see. We toured the Schoenbrunn Palace, visited the Butterfly house, had drinks in the famous cafes and even tried our luck at the casino. I would love to go back again soon.

On the basketball front things are going okay. The team has secured a place in the playoffs and has their last regular season game at home this weekend. Although there were a few unexpected and unnecessary losses in the past weeks, there were also a lot of positive things. On Friday, we played at home against Bamberg and gave them a good run for their money. Although we didn't win, we only lost by five and the team played well. Chris had his best game of the season with 19 points and 6 rebounds.

(Thanks to Ulf Duda for the great photos!)
This weekend Flo, Eva, Fitssi, and Steffi are driving all the way up from the South to visit us and see the game. We will celebrate Easter with them here. Hopefully this warm weather we have will stay!
