An Important Win at Home

Chris' parents arrived Thursday to visit us for the weekend. After a long day of traveling, they made it here just fine. On Friday I took them through downtown Palencia to go shopping and then we met with Chris to eat some tapas. Friday night we played at home against Navarra. Although they are ranked below us, they have won against some really good teams and are playing really well. They are the second best in defense after us. The first few minutes looked as if the game would be a disaster for us, but after a time out we came back out and changed things for the better. The final score was 76-63 and Chris had a great game. He was 8/8 with 17 points and played good defense against their big guys. Chris' parents really enjoyed watching the game and thought that the atmosphere in our gym was great. They even made some new friends. The man beside David kept making him drink wine from his bag and was trying to teach him how to use it. It was definitely a great choice of games to see.
