Yet another two weeks have flown by! On the basketball front, things have continued to go very well.
They are 3-0 so far for March with two wins against closely ranked teams. We are now in 7th place (the first 8 make playoffs), but there is still a lot of work to do to stay up there! Chris has been playing pretty well and aside from the weight he has lost 5 kg (11 lbs)and can't seem to get back, he feels really good. I swear I am cooking for him! In the summer we will fatten him back up with lots of BBQs and grandma visits!
Last weekend, the team had off and we were able to enjoy the first really warm weather of the spring. We decided to stay in Wurzburg and relax. We had fun just hanging out in the city and stopping at cafes for lunch and coffee. On Saturday, a teammate and his girlfriend, Henne and Saliha, cooked us an amazing dinner. Unfortunately, that nice weather disappeared last Monday and it has been cold, rainy, and snowy since then. Come back warm weather!

On Wednesday, I went to our game with two friends from work and several other coworkers were also there (unfortunately we didnt catch each other for a complete group photo). Meike had been to another game with me, but it was Janine's first game. We had lots of fun watching and cheering on the team. They definitely took lots of energy to the game with them! We enjoyed our 'girls night out.'
Angela, a friend I met two years ago in Oldenburg, came down by train to visit for a few days. We showed her the city, ate some amazing Schnitzel at a local restaurant, and went shopping. On Saturday, we drove down to Bayreuth to met with another girlfriend there and see Chris' game. We hadn't seen each other since her and Robin, visited us last summer. It was great to have some girls time and catch up. She brought her dog with her and Dixon loved having a furry friend to play with all weekend! We have to plan another get together soon, but this time with the boys!
Shoutout to Bucknell for making the NCAA tournament. They are playing in Lexington against Butler today! We are excited to watch from afar and cheer them on.
At this time every year, we are reminded of our awesome days at Bucknell and our big upset against Kansas! It's definitely something we will never forget. Here's a highlight video for you:
