Me and Angela on the spinning roller coaster
Kramermarkt, the big, annual fair in Oldenburg was going on from the 1 - 10 of
October. Its just like a fair you would find in the U.S. minus the animal/farm exhibitions but with big beer pavilions. We went with Robin and Angela to check it out one night after practice. We had fun riding the biggest traveling ferris wheel in the world (which we actually rode last year at the Bremen Freimaak) and eating some unhealthy German fair food.
On Friday and Sunday, the EWE Baskets stepped up their game and won on both days. You could really see a difference in how they played and worked together as a team. The Artland Arena is a tough place to play and we still managed a win by 10 points. We are now 3 - 0! There is a game this Friday at home against Giessen, who is also 3 - 0, and at Goettingen on Sunday. It will be strange playing against our old team, but we are looking forward to seeing our old friends there.
Cheering on our boys at Artland
Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes for Chris. We celebrated the big '28' after the game on Sunday with some of our friends. On Monday we went to the bike shop and reserved his bike and went to see 'The Social Network,' the new movie about facebook. It was really good. Unfortunately, the electrician hasn't come to check on the wire we drilled into or repair the oven, so I couldn't make him a birthday cake! I definitetly will as soon as it's back in order!
