A weekend in Madrid with the McNaughtons

On Wednesday David and Christa arrived for their 4 day visit. We went to Segovia on Thursday and on Friday went to Chris' game together. Unfortunately, the game was far from our best. We lost by only 4, but were down the entire game. The big guys were definitely beating up on Chris. At one point he went up for a dunk and they intentionally took his legs out from under him leaving him to land flat on the floor. The refs ignored the fouls against him the entire first half, but somehow decided to start paying attention during the second. They actually called two offensive fouls on the other guy because he was pushing him so much. Despite this, Chris had a decent game with 9 points - more than either of the guys he defended had! After losing this game that we should have won, we thought for sure that we would be in second place, but Hospitalet came to our rescue and lost too. Apparently the pressure is getting to them too. So we are still in first place with two games left!

On Saturday we left early to go to Madrid for the weekend. The weather was supposed to be rainy, but it wasn't bad at all. We went to the art musem and got to see all of the great buildings and parks downtown. It is definitely a great city! So we finally have pictures of Madrid because luckily I didn't get my camera stolen this time. We left Madrid on Sunday, and David and Christa had an early flight out on Monday.

Tomorrow is our second to last game in Ourense, a city just over 3 hours away. Barbie and I are going to the game on the fan bus. Hopefully we will bring them good luck. So keep your fingers crossed for us!
