After a great week with two important wins, we are very excited to fly home tomorrow morning. On Sunday, we played at Caja Rioja and I went on the fan bus with my friend to see the game. There were two fan buses and we basically took over their gym. It was also the first time i wore Chris' jersey! We were all a little nervous about the game, but the guys played really well and won by 21!
This week I finished up with my English lessons for the next month. I made some Christmas cards and cookies with my little kids. In Spain, they celebrate something called "reyes magos" which is a celebration of the three kings on January 5th. This is their big Christmas holiday and when they exchange their gifts. Santa Claus is growing in popularity because of the American influence, but it's still not a big thing here. The kids get their gifts from the 'three kings' and not Santa. We also bought our first fake tree this week. It was just too complicated to find a real one and get everything that goes along with it. It still looks nice though!
Tonight was Chris' last game until after Christmas. It was another important one, but they are all important when you are trying to stay in first place! The guys played well and the gym was packed as always. It was also the first game that they had the heat working. Finally I didn't need my jacket and gloves during the game. We were up by almost 30 at one point, but we ended up winning by 17. Chris had 15 points, 5 rbs, and 2 assists, and we are still in first! What a great way to begin our Christmas break!
