This is a very belated update, but an important one! Bridgett, my best friend from high school, flew to Germany to visit me for a week. Of course the temperature dropped just before she arrived, but that gave us an excuse to wear our new hats and gloves and drink lots of gluhwein on our trips!
On the evening she arrived, we had a big Thanksgiving dinner with the team. It was fun and we had lots of food of course! We spent the rest of the week touring lots of German cities, visiting Christmas markets, and testing Gluhweins! We took a tour of the Bremen Becks beer brewery, went to the Buckeburg palace Christmas festival, took a roadtrip to Emden in search of a beer stein, and ate lots of good German food! It was really nice to see her and show her a piece of our life in Europe. Unfortunately, I won't get to see her again until this summer when we get back to the US. Luckily we are good at keeping in touch despite the distance.
